Advanced Bookbinding

This four-week class is designed for those looking to advance their book making skills. Materials will be provided, but students should bring their own tools. Students can choose to learn more intricate Japanese bindings, beautiful decorated long-stitch bindings, options for casing your book in a hard cover, books that require no stitching at all, and make a “leather” bound journal. Intro to Bookbinding is not a requirement, but book making experience is preferred. Materials fee: $35 (paper, glue, brushes, thread, a curved needle, book cloth are expected expenses for each student)
