Basic Studio Lighting

Basic Studio Lighting image
Instruction will include various techniques in the use of the studio's White Lightning strobes in multiple lighting configurations, as well as other equipment such as an incident/flash meter, softboxes, umbrellas, and various other attachment and light modifiers. We’ll also explore the use of Hot-Shoe flash systems that can be used as an alternative to the more powerful studio flash devices. Pre-requisites: basic knowledge of your camera's function including changing of ISO, aperture, displaying histograms and highlight clipping. Required: digital or film camera with hot-shoe. Basic knowledge of your film and/or digital SLR camera is required and a hot-shoe flash would be helpful but not necessary. Included: access to the studio for the duration of class and $30 for materials.
