Ben will demonstrate some of his thrown forms and how he uses motifs and symbols to create his surfaces.

Carter was named the 2016 Ceramic Artist of the Year for Ceramics Monthly and Pottery Making Illustrated. He has lectured and presented workshops at universities and craft centers in the United States, Canada, China, Australia, and New Zealand and has exhibited internationally in numerous invitational and juried shows. In 2012 he started the Tales of a Red Clay Rambler podcast so that he could interview other artists about their craft, creativity, and lifestyle.
