Ceramic Image Transfer

There is a trend in contemporary ceramics towards highly individualized, richly graphic surface art. This 4-week survey class is perfect for anyone who wants to have their work represent their own personal interests and style. You’ll start with an overview of contemporary artists, and then learn several methods of image transfer, including making your own graffito paper, rice paper decals, and monoprinting. Finished pieces will be brought to the studio to be bisqued and clear-coated. The art kit will contain all supplies; materials and firing are included in the class fee.

*Those registering will be contacted to come and pick up their art kit at the studio. This class is a hybrid. The students will come to the Center to pick up their art kit; they will have the classes in the comfort of their homes, and meet in the studio only to glaze their finished work. Arrangements can be made for students unwilling to come to the Center.
