Hot-Shoe Flash!

This class will focus on the use of the hot-shoe flash for improving your photographs by understanding how to control the light it produces. Have you ever taken a photo of someone where one side of his or her face is brightly lit while the other is darkened by shadows? Your flash can reduce this problem when properly used. You will need to bring a hot-shoe flash that is dedicated to your specific camera with TTL capabilities. Required: experience with your DSLR and familiarity with your hot-shoe flash. Please note: because various cameras and flash units require different settings to work properly, please bring the users manual for the camera and flash to class. Because of the vast variety of hot-shoe flashes, even from the same manufacturer and within the same model range, this class will not show you what buttons to push and expects that you are familiar with the physical functionality of the flash itself.
