One print is pulled at a time and no two prints are exactly alike with this painterly printmaking method. It starts with ink on a nonporous surface and transferring it onto paper using a variety of techniques. Techniques include transfer, reductive and additive. Encouraged spontaneity and experimentation, plus best practices in printmaking will also be coveredMonoprinting is a course that studies the fundamentals of ways of seeing line and shape. Emphasis is given to sketches and quick studies utilizing a variety of printmaking media. Techniques include transfer, reductive and additive. Principles of visual perception will also be explored.
