Off Camera Hot-Shoe Flash Techniques

This class will demonstrate the flexibility of using radio triggered hot-shoe flash as off-camera devices. While we'll be demonstrating flash system geared towards the Canon camera line, the techniques apply to other manufacturers as well. We'll discuss the various options for 3rd party flashes which in many cases are significantly less expensive than OEM models yet provide excellent radio controlled solutions. We'll discuss lighting ratios, as well as manual and TTL lighting control. We'll demonstrate single flash and multiple flash configurations, as well as the use of various light modifiers such as umbrellas, reflectors and soft-boxes. These techniques are suitable for small home studios but are equally useful for outdoor portrait sessions.
