Learn the effective use of speedlights to create well-lit portraits in any outdoor lighting condition. You will learn on camera and off camera speedlight techniques as well as the use of light modifiers such as reflectors and scrims. Off camera flash techniques will require the use of radio triggers and light stands. If you have them, bring them.; if not, their use will be demonstrated. Required: students must provide SLR/DSLR, camera specific speedlite with TTL & Manual capabilities, and radio triggers and light stands if you have them. Prerequisites: students must know the purpose of, and how to select & set the following: controls of your camera (ISO setting, Aperture, Shutter Speed, FEL(Canon), FV(Nikon), TTL, Manual, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Select Metering Modes and controls of your speedlight: Manual and TTL modes, Manual Zoom Setting, Manual Power Setting, Auto (TTL) Power Offset, High Speed Sync (HSS). Included: $25 for materials.
