Poetry, Pottery, & Paper (Ages 8-11) for kids

In this collaboration between Writers & Books and the Flower City Arts Center, your child will have a unique opportunity to merge visual arts with creative writing. They will make paper and do letterpress, write poems, handbuild a ceramic book and incise their own inspired words into it, making a permanent keepsake. This workshop will be a real hands-on experience taught by professional artists and writers at both the Flower City Arts Center (on Monroe Ave in the old fire station) and at Writers & Books (on University Ave in the old police station)! On Friday there will be an art show and poetry reading for your friends and families, to celebrate your child’s creativity.
