Sewn Board Bookbinding

In this class, each student will make a beautiful hardbound book with a flexible spine. The book lies flat when opened, making it perfect for writing, drawing, or an art journal. Using a unique method called sewn board binding, we’ll be making a blank page journal from start to finish over two nights. Learn bookbinding techniques, including Coptic stitch, hidden sewn board stitching, spine edge gluing, covering book boards, and more. This hardcover book can be made using no special equipment, making it easy to create books like this over and over. You will leave this class with a one-of-a-kind book. All supplies will be provided. Included: $10 for materials.
