Tessellating Tile Class

Tessellating Tile Class image
This class covers all aspects of making a 12” x12” unique tile wall piece. You will design the prototype, you ‘ll learn to convert your own drawing or photographs to personalize the piece, and you will learn to make and use press molds to create the individual tiles. Not only will you make a beautiful work of art for the wall, you also make a plaster mold that you can use over and over. August 3 is the last day to work wet; we will have a 2 week break to allow you to bring your finished pieces to the studio. We will fire them, and meet together on August 24 (in socially-distanced groups) to do the final mounting and grouting. The art kit will contain all supplies; materials and firing are included in the class fee.

*Those registering will be contacted to come and pick up their art kit at the studio. This class is a hybrid. The students will come to the Center to pick up their art kit; they will have the classes in the comfort of their homes, and meet in the studio only to glaze their finished work. Arrangements can be made for students unwilling to come to the Center.
