Writing with Light (Ages 12–14)

Writing with Light (Ages 12–14) image
The word photography literally means “writing with light”. Combine the magic of film-based photography with the power of your words. Using a 35mm film camera (provided) and a pen and notebook, you will explore the uniqueness of the Neighborhood of the Arts. Using the darkroom, you will make your own black and white prints, use objects and letters to create photograms, and creatively combine your words with photography. This class is in collaboration with Writers & Books and students will meet at both Flower City Arts Center and Writers & Books throughout this weeklong experience. Call Writers & Books, 585-473–2590, for information or to register. Instructors: Juliana Muniz and Liz Raymonda
