Wintercraft Open House & Holiday Sale

Join us for our annual Open House! Come get in the holiday spirit by making crafts and shopping for holiday gifts; see free demos or participate in letterpress, ceramic, and book arts activities. Join us for a unique holiday gift buying experience that will let you enjoy all that is offered by the Flower City Arts Center. Great fun for the entire family!

EXHIBITS

The Good Things...come in small packages exhibit will be in the Firehouse Gallery. Juried by ceramicist Renee LoPresti. All work is under 8", and available for purchase.

Politics & Photography is on display in the 2nd floor Photography Gallery. Juried by former Photography & Digital Arts artist in Residence Stephanie Mercedes, the exhibit explores how images can document political events and can themselves be political acts.

SHOPPING

Printmaking & Book Arts will have various letterpress and printed holiday cards and posters for sale in the Letterpress Studio. Don't forget to purchase a copy of our 2019 calendar, too!

The Firehouse Gallery Store carries functional and sculptural work from local and regional ceramic artists.Shop for handcrafted, one-of-a-kind works of art and jewelry, as well as ceramic tools.

Studio artists will have work available to purchase throughout the Arts Center.

ACTIVITIES

Enjoy live music from finger style guitarist Kinloch Nelson from 1-3pm.

Get some ink on your fingers and print your own bookmark or holiday card! You will also be able to create one-of-a-kind posters printing from legos in our Printmaking Studio. We will also be making buttons!

Make your own gingerbread ornament in our Ceramics Studio.

See demonstrations and get your portrait taken in our Lighting Studio.

Create your own cyanotype print in our Community Darkroom. Cyanotype ornaments are back this year with a recomended donation of $5.
