Expanding the Field

HIGH SCHOOL ART STUDENTS: DEVELOP YOUR SKILLS & COLLEGE PORTFOLIO IN A PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT!

Expanding the Field is an arts advancement opportunity for local students who are serious about their futures in the arts. We are currently seeking rising juniors & sophomores of African-American, Latinx, and/or Native American heritages to apply for free classes, mentorship, networking, and facilities access at Flower City Arts Center. The Expanding the Field grant supports access to visual arts resources—increasing the healthy diversity of college-level visual arts programs and future leadership in the professions of Ceramics, Printmaking, and Photography. Accepted students choose one class or workshop per quarter during the 2019-2020 school year and in summer 2020. Accepted students will be invited to continue these free classes or workshops through their senior year. A transportation subsidy is available. Please visit the FREE application online, or contact Rashaad at admin@rochesterarts.org for more details.
