Reclamation Prints

After working in the computer industry for over 30 years Doug Steward is rejuvenating himself and his art by creating woodblock prints. Using very sharp hand carving tools and wood allows him to create graphic images much like they did in Europe in the 15th century.

Each print is pulled by hand using a 50 year old press and paper made out of 100% cotton fibers.

The resulting black and white prints are strong graphic images of planes, trains, cars and places.
